Hey everyone!

My name is Alex, Im an MBA student from Russia. I've just joined this community and I hope to get some advice.
Im not a professional juggler and Im not planning to be a professional. The reason why I joined this community is that I want to socialize while Im studying in London. I do juggling for fun (can do 3 a 4 balls juggling tricks) and Im looking for some activities/events in London that I could attend to practice my skills, meet new people and have fun. I was trying to find some clubs or event on the Internet but got a bit confused about which clubs are for professionals and which are not :/
I live in Notting Hill and Im looking for the closest juggling clubs/events.

Thank you!
Alex

Welcome Alex!

The list of UK clubs on https://jugglingedge.com/clublistings.php?Region=UK may be helpful, I'm pretty sure most of the clubs listed on there would welcome a hobby juggler like yourself - although I'm not entirely sure if any of them are student clubs only open to students of a particular university or anything.

My knowledge of London geography is a bit sketchy, but I think you're probably not too far from the oddballs juggling shop in Camden (about 20 minutes on the tube I think?) https://www.oddballs.co.uk/juggling-shop-london-uk

Pop in there and have a chat to them, they're fun and friendly types and will put you in touch with local clubs etc.

Hi Alex, thanks for signing up & saying hi.

Hmm, I never knew there was a Notting Hill in Australia, but this map may be a bit more useful. Hopefully one of the Londoners will say hi shortly.

Hey hello Alex. Welcome.

Hi Alex :)

Complete beginners through to life-long professionals are welcome at all the clubs I've ever experienced in England (though you'll mainly find very enthusiastic hobbyists). Where are you studying? I've never been along to the student clubs in London because I'm up in York during term time, but there are a few uni clubs near you so if you don't want to travel much they're probably your best bet.

Other than that I'd second the #OddballsClub - https://www.oddballs.co.uk/circus-spinning-juggling-workshops (am I even allowed to link to a non-edge listing? I feel kinda evil.)

Looking forward to throwing things around with you.

Sadie.

Hey Alex!

Welcome! There are quite a lot of London juggling clubs. If your in Notting Hill then you'll be near the Central line (either Holland Park or Notting Hill Gate). This should be easy for you to get to both Oddballs and Spinning@

Oddballs - Wednesday 7pm-9:30pm - https://www.jugglingedge.com/club.php?ClubID=36&
Spinning@ - Tuesday 6:30ish - 10pmish https://www.jugglingedge.com/club.php?ClubID=1154&

I usually go to both. There are also UCL and Imperial, which I occasionally go to and Jackons Jugglers (near Upper Holloway) that focuses more on club juggling and passing.

Catch you one of them sometime!

Ian
