That was a very good idea. There are some amazing moves in the video and the whole thing is very well put together. I just know I'm going to be spending the next few months practising some of those scissor catch tricks.

You could also be inspired by the video and spend the next few months trying to find your own scissor catch tricks

I'm sure that'll be a natural path to take, yes, but I don't think one should only practise their own tricks—using ones other people have come up with is just as valid, especially if they're nice tricks. I think one should do both, as long as they're balanced.
