So the olympics are underway. I quite enjoyed the opening ceremony. It dragged in some places but I liked the enormous Voldemort puppet, I thought the celebration of music was really well done & it was great to see Tim Berners Lee honoured centre stage. Whenever I hear Danny Boy being sung though I can only think of this:

The artistic gymnastics qualification starts at 10.55, the rhythmic gymnastics starts on Thursday 9th August. Another one to watch if you want to improve your gladiators is fencing which starts in about 20 minutes.
Just watched the ceremony (had to record it and lost the end). Loved the rings, the cauldron, the Queen and the choice of who lit the cauldron. Currently watching the archery but about to flop out in the sun and try and catch up on sleep (up at 02:30 to get Void to heathrow for #EJC2012 and only ended up with 1 hour's sleep). Will be watching athletics, gymnastics, equestrian events and maybe some weightlifting as one of the instructors at the gym I go to is a judge.
