#BBU2017

God it's quiet round here. This would have got pages of nonsense about packing extra lemons for your courgette linguine in the old days.

The Void - - Parent

Anyone for a game of banoffee kite kubb poker club?

Monte - - Parent

Only if Trebuchet rules apply and you can't move diagonally to Mornington crescent.

Mïark - - Parent

Trebuchet is for children www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4stRQhlZS8

Monte - - Parent

Adult trebuchet is called flungilingus.

Monte - - Parent

We discussed using the trebuchet for noisy children but the parents objected and Farmer Paul said he didn't want bloodstains on the grass.

Mïark - - Parent

Just tell the children that if they leave any bloodstains they won't be allowed a second flight from the trebuchet, that should be enough motivation.

Admittefly, the news that I've recently decanted this years tayberry vodka will probably be of little interest to Void...

It's been steeping since I picked the crop back in august. It'll be a struggle to get it as far as BBU though, it's a bit tasty.

In possibly more relevant news, what do you two think of the recent juggling storyline in The Archers?

Monte - - Parent

I didn't have a good enough supply of berries at the farm this year to repeat my sloe tequila.Shame it was lovely.
I'm hoping the Toby story develops and there is more talking of juggling but I haven't heard it this week so no spoilers before tomorrows omnibus.

On BBU cat news at hulver farm nr351nf (too subtle a plug?) I have now been living here so long that Wop has worked out where my bed is and is currently curled up asleep on it.
On Camp Dave news as nobody bothers to post those great convention reviews any more....meh
BBU is so much better these days and nearly as busy.
That's BBU at NR351NF by the way.

Sad news about Wop, he's not been seen since Christmas and is presumed dead. He'd been wheezing and coughing a lot so probably had some sort of chest infection which with the cold weather must have finished him off. Only one cat left now "Baggage" and possible sightings of a feral tabby......
No losses of chickens to the foxes this year(touch wood) and both dogs doing well.....
House sparrows have been trying to nest under Tobias's eves so he was building them a bird box today to keep them from damaging the insulation further.
The "murder" of crows is getting larger and the buggers wake me up every morning running about on my roof.
Paul is struggling with his ankle which has been diagnosed as arthritic and cannot walk long distances any more.
Fewer than 100 days now, roll on May 19th..........

The Void - - Parent

Shame to hear about Wop, and Paul's ankle. And if you will park your truck in the crows' field....

Monte - - Parent

Paul is getting annoyed with the crows as they pull straw out of the stacks to eat the wheat. If you want to stop them you have to shoot one and hang it up nearby but Paul can't bring himself to do it.
Yeah really sad about Wop he was a really friendly cat.....

Monte - - Parent

Bugger, you will have to fill me in.
I forgot to listen today.

Little Paul - - Parent

I'm a bit too lazy to listen to the archers on their timeline, I usually listen to the omnibus on the podcast feed. Which you can grab from https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b084thb5 as an mp3 if you fancy it.

So at this point, I've heard as much as you have (ie, I'm a week behind) I'll catch up over the next day or two.

However - for someone who claims to have done street shows, I was a bit disappointed that when he was auditioning for the panto, he just got up and started juggling.

No patter, no buildup, just juggling (and smacking Lynda Snell in the head with (what Tom later correctly identified as) a club - which lets be honest, we've all wanted to do at some point.

Monte - - Parent

Once a day would do her some good in my opinion. Well done on resisting the double entendre by the way. lol

Monte - - Parent

You don't think juggling on the radio with no commentary is fascinating? Muggle!

Little Paul - - Parent

I'm sure I'm not the only juggler to have been asked to juggle on the Radio.

Although, in terms of radio work I can't really match (Pink) Nigels story about being interviewed on TMS - while doing a turn as Lanky the Giraffe.

Ever the professional, he remained in character... although it was a non-speaking role.

Monte - - Parent

Well Giraffes are mute after all. Shame you can't say the same about Nigel. lol
