I am currently a snot factory (nice image I know), so won't be at #altern8 as planned this evening.
Hope everyone there has a grand Christmas and I'll see you all in 2016 :)

Get well soon.
Tonight we had about 10. Lizzie was wisely refusing to go along with Henry's "open your eyes and catch it when I say 'now'" passing advice. Rob was playing with his rugby balls in preparation for a gig. I played with a paper kendama. Hazel brought posh biscuits. Richard reused some gold paper to enposhify some unposh ones. Sam strolled in for his severalmonthly visit from the Canaries. Henry also dragged along a couple of Russian friends. We were shockingly undersupplied with props, so I got them having a go at kendama. Ivan wandered off to play with a club, and bashed himself in the cheek with it.

We are closed next week, open again from Jan 4th as usual.

Thanks.
Sounds like you all had fun ;-)
See you in 2016!

Yes, it was a very nice evening, unexpectedly busy with people who aren't usually there - a very nice pre-Christmas surprise :-)

We had four vaguely competent passers there, and was encouraged by Tarim to give the Urban Terror Feed another try. Last time was at least ten years ago, when it was preceded by my statements "how hard can it be?" and "it's only ultimates isn't it?" Promptly followed by that expression of terror that characterises its name :-)

So of course I again went through the ritual incantations of "how hard can it be?" and "it's only ultimates isn't it?" before starting. But this time I got at least 7 passes into it, which was at least a 100% improvement on last time :-)

Suburban terror* feed is a much easier way to build up to it.

*there possibly exist multiple patterns by this name, but the one I mean is where A does BBCC, B does AAss, C does ssAA.

Suburban terror feed traditionally, at least in my circles, means one count feeding, with one feedee doing pass pass self, one doing three count, with 3 clubs each.

It's possible to add a club, and have 7 one count feeding the same patterns, but with all passes on 3.5p.

And for the ambitious, you can do 9 club one count feeding 8 club pps and 7 club 3 count.

You add clubs in the same way to Tom's version, or indeed for the passer passing one count to the feedees in any preagreed order.
