So yesterday was another Lestival, now become quite an institution.
Highlights included the tastiest sandwich I've had in a long time (bread still warm!) and a brief but fun impromptu passing session with Fred and Nunyat. I love the atmosphere that the atrium and cafe setup gives to Lestival - it's a stonking venue. Also Carrie said nice things about my three club improvement workshop from BJC! Thanks Carrie!
I very much enjoyed Nunyat's calm, composed and technical act in the show, and Loz and Marky Jay being their splendidly professional selves.
The run up to the show was stress-tastic with a combination of short getin, acts with no music, and acts with inaccessible music, leaving me the most complicated sequence of cues of any convention show yet with no time for any run throughs of anything. Stress or no stress, doors opened only 5 minutes later than planned, the show was admirably and confidently held together by Marky Jay, and the lack of run-through only poked its head in once.
Low points included the discovery that show pizza had arrived backstage while I was still working out front, leaving me after the end of the show, sitting on the stage, having a solo cold leftover pizza party. I also missed a lot of the usual Lestival suspects, including but not limited to Lorri, Sam and Martin, and Dr Alice.

Emily, you were marvellously stoic in the face of adversity, thanks. It did all just fall together in the end didn't it? Dog knows how. Maybe next time I should impose some ORDER from above!
I was gutted not to be able to come, the first Lestival I have missed, also one of my favourites but sadly a prior commitment got in the way. Hope to attend next year

The Lestival show is always a good'un, but I particularly enjoyed it this year. The playground assault course majig (which was under construction last year) did not disappoint either.
Big thanks to the crew for another superb day at Brockington.
