Juggling events in Ireland, 2015
Thursday, 12 November 2015 to Sunday, 15 November 2015
The National Circus festival is Ireland’s largest annual circus festival and one of the most exciting, emerging festivals in Ireland. The festival has lit up Tralee every November in a explosion of theatre, clown, aerial, fun, laughter, skill and absurdity.
The Tralee Circus Festival began in 2001 as a juggling convention. It was a way for the diverse strands of a contemporary circus culture to meet, share ideas, fun and create an Irish expression for this exciting artform. Over the years the Tralee Circus Festival has evolved to be Ireland’s annual contemporary circus festival.
At the heart of the festival is Circus Siamsa, a public variety show, held in Siamsa Tíre Theatre, is the national showcase for contemporary urban circus and features top national and international performers handpicked and hosted by: The Fanzini Brothers
Some of this years festival highlights include the Irish premiere of Water on Mars, “intense juggling designed for space stations,” new emerging Irish circus work on the NEST stage and Circus Jukebox, a new ensemble circus show from Fanzini Productions. All this on top of a 4 day circus convention, festival masterclasses and kids workshops, the circus sideshow festival club, Saturdays circus Siamsa shows!! So run away with us to the circus and be part of one of Ireland’s most exciting and unique festivals!
