Some ball juggling! I was very tired but it went pretty good anyway.

5 balls: 5 up 360's felt very good, had fun with (8x,4)(4,4)* (I think it was the first time I tried it today) and (6x,4)* variations
6 balls: worked on Gattoplex
7 and 8 balls: short runs and flashes

3 soccer balls: cascade at different heights, 423, 1 up 2 up, 1 up 360, 2 in one hand...

Head bounce: got a couple of nice 1 up 360's (from head bounce to head bounce)

Very speedy ring session today. Most things worked, despite having been driving for 4 hours by the time I got to the sports centre. No real standouts, but very close to a 3 up in flats, and 10 catches of flats with 4 rings so I guess they were going well. 8 felt very good too, and I think the launch of 5 from my left hand is improving.

Need to remember not to juggle balls at Romford. The lighting is shit- I'm not sure what's wrong with it, there's definitely enough and it's not glaring but balls just seem to disappear. As such 360s were abysmal but overheads and shower went pretty well. Tried connecting a behind the back pass to a 3 up 360 in 4 ball shower but didn't quite get it. Felt nice though- will do it outside this week. Not terrible attempts at 9 at the end, but the less said about 6 and 7, the better.

Went through club and ring stuff. Nothing worked particularly well apart from 6 clubs, which felt like it was getting somewhere. Tried 75 properly for the first time and got 8 good throws out a couple of times.

Always a good convention, Bath. Arrived a bit late due to a unintended diversion to Bristol, but got passing with Cameron straight away on arrival.

Had already printed a sheet of things to work on and blasted through it pretty quickly. My tomahawks and treblas were working well, shoulder throws still crap though. Got a 6 up 360, but found it tricky enough that the 2 stage seems overly ambitious at the moment. Transition into back to back was harder than expected with straight early doubles (one each).

7 club b2b really nice, got 80 passes easy then tried some tricks. Singles was hard, as were 360s. I got 7 club singles into me doing 5 clubs with a bit of work and a lot of correcting, naturally Cameron got it first time.

8 club singles felt a bit strained, but got the 4 up 360 in just a few tries, and wasn't massively far off the 8 up. Got a couple of good runs of 8 b2b too- probably beating our pb, but wasn't counting. 8 and 9 on triples felt better than ever- my triples feel almost controllable now.

9 worked much better when we both took a step back from each other. No super long runs, maybe just over 40 passes. Tried singles (dropping down from a few passes of doubles). Flashing 9 back to back felt vaguely plausible in triples, not in doubles. 10 clubs was pretty good- probably just over 5 passes each (11 or 12 total), but not counting and not clean.

Combat started well, then I lost to a couple of people I felt I should have beaten. Total was 8 won 5 lost, but then lost in the quarters again. Felt like my opponent had learned how to deal more effectively with my attacks since we met in the qualifiers. Cameron went on to be 2nd though, which was good, and I felt I played well on the whole.

Did some work on Chopabout with Cameron and Elina before and during the games, but took part in some. 4th-ish in club balance (bloody seal roll again), reasonable in 5 ball endurance (bloody halfshower again), 3rd in 5 club endurance and maybe joint 3rd/4th in 7 ball endurance, but that one was hard to call. Did head bouncing in random trick endurance which I felt was one of the hardest tricks there. Had to stop because I was moving about too much and I thought I was going to trip over the spectators.

Ring passing with Varkor before dinner- just 2 counts. 8 and 9 rings went well- beat our records and moved on. 10 rings improved massively when I slowed down lots and sorted out the angle on my passes- beat our record with at least 15 passes each. Tried 11 to finish, Varkor starting running 5 and me starting cold with 6 like the pros seem to do with clubs. Don't think I was doing my selfs high enough because he was getting the 3rd pass too early. Very flashable though, and possibly easier than 10 in some ways.

Another ball session before work. Bit windy so didn't bother with most of the balance or bounce stuff. 3b ass catch needs more work. Did a cool 5511 overhead behind the back thing but didn't get the 4b version. 3 rounds of 552 bxx, 5b bxx good. 97531 good- maybe 7 rounds but felt right. 5 up 180 and 360 good. 6b generally crap, but worked out some problems with 756. 7b felt nice, but was randomly droppy today. (8x,6)* better for focussing on the 8xs. 9b at the end went very well due to keeping the height up with the rh throws- especially the first one. Only spent 5 min on it, but got 10 catches and 11 catches clean, which equals my pb.

Various issues led to being super late to the studio this morning, and felt a bit hungover, so only got through rings. Not much notable. 360s shit again, but 7 rings was good and new pb with 4 in my left hand. Tried the double bounce again throwing straight back and making an effort to bounce in columns.

Quick practice before work again. Still a bit windy so left the clubs inside today.

Did all the same stuff as yesterday, just not as well. Things that worked well- 3b + head bounce ran well enough for me to try to drop into 4, siteswaps with 5 and 6, 5b mills, 6b 4 up 360s and (8x,6)*. Wrist feeling tight so I didn't bother with trying 10 today.

Started with a go at a 2 ball head bounce. Properly hard, maybe more than I was expecting. Got 2 bounces a couple of times and almost got 3, but felt randoms.

Rings felt really good. Got the kick with 5 and almost got it twice. 6 rings felt especially nice. Managed async to sync to async again with enough control to end with a pulldown. 24 catches clean of 7, but no flash of 8.

Mucked around with 3 club trick where I thumb spin a club to drop it behind me as a heli then spin and catch it on the bounce.

Club passing with Becky. 7 club popcorn with triples then 10 club 2 count. Must film the latter to work out the timing issue on my side.

Had intended to get a full ball and ring practice in, but left it too late and too windy for clubs anyway.

Good 3b whirlwind again today. Had one plausible attempt at the 4b ass catch, but still threw the last ball too far forward. 4b 720 throws good again, but only had 3/4 attempts and didn't land it. V close to 4 up in overheads and 4 rounds of 534 with balance.

Need to focus on throw 4 with 5 up 360s to make them solid. Ok 97531 and good 60+ run of 771 first time. Turns out if you throw bxx higher they go forward more and work better. If I remember that when I start tomorrow I should do well.

100+ catches of 6b isolated, which was nice. 1st practice with 6b oh. Didn't feel close, but I'll keep it in for a bit. Maybe do some 3 in one hand oh first. 7b felt good, only 40 catches isolated though- felt I should have got more. Ok attempts at 5 up and (8x,6)*

8b terrible for using the bigger balls. Good attempts at 9- kept my elbows in and got 12 really nice throws.

10b async launch much better today- caught the first ones twice and the other throws weren't awful.

Had a go at 5 clubs at the end because I'd brought them outside in the first place. Terrible start, need to focus in the middle or the xing point. Did that and kept my elbows in and finally got 50 catches clean after about 5 min. Bit windy but that's no excuse. Hopefully will be able to do clubs outside tomorrow.

Thought I'd log this week's juggling to get an idea of how much I'm practicing. Got to the studio late again due to roadworks even though I set off earlier.

Warmup: improved dropping the head bounce into a stall and almost got a full 360 with a club balance

Spent a bit too long on 3 and 4 rings at the start, almost an hour. Bxx and spins not great today, balance was good though. Got 4r into 3r + balance and 4r + balance into 5r first time. Need to stay isolated with 4r + balance if I'm going to get into it from 5r. Good run of 5r pancakes, ~15 throws, dropped trying to get back to cascade. 6r felt very good- keeping my right elbow in helped with the angle. Good run isolated, async to sync and back, pulloff to clean flash of 6, 4 up 360 to collect. 7 felt good, ended with 22 catches clean. Nothing with 8 really. Launch of 5 from my left far from good enough for 9.

Had ~45min at the end so blasted through club practice. Almost landed a few 720s but moved on. Alberts and treblas shit- no point spending 2 min on each, need at least 5-10 I reckon. Good runs of 3c doubles and flats with balance. Almost got 4 bxx back to pattern again. Nothing exciting with 4c. 5c singles extremely poor, but couple of ok runs of triples (over 30). Bxx looked better again today. Felt better about 6c too, but had to leave before trying 75.

Went through almost all of the ball practice stuff. Generally, spins, ass catch, kicks and bxx bad, balance, overheads and shower good.

Find it hard to see the balls in the Romford hall for spins, but got a really smooth 3b whirlwind. Still can't do bxx with balance. Neck a bit stiff for the head bounce.

Throws terrible for 4b 360s and 720s need to work on those tomorrow. Got 2 rounds 552 bxx easily on first attempt, should try more. 4 up overhead async felt very doable. 5b bxx improved but still not good- need more flexibility in left shoulder. 5b overheads were awesome- got in from cascade first time, ran it while chatting with Tom then transitioned out. Then 40+ clean, then couple of attempts at 3 up 360 into overheads. 35 catches 5b shower first time, then b171. Balance pretty good, several runs ~50 then tried (6x,4)* which is impossible (can catch 6xs but not 4s).

Good runs of 6b sync and async, qualified clean with club balance easily. 70+ catches isolated. Several good feeling ~50 runs with 7b, then (8x,6)*. Good looking 8b async. Tried 9b with gballz only, not bad but only a few rethrows. 10b async starting RH- maybe 4 or 5 attempts improving each time.

Bounce passing with Dave K. 10bb 2 count started badly but improved pattern massively after 5 min. Need to use the bounce room more often for solo stuff.
