Running 7b and 5c to 100 catches. 40 minutes.

3 clubs in one hand. 12 minutes.

Before juggling on colder days, I do some cardio activity until my hands feel warm when I hold them against my face. I usually do an exercise bike.

I was freezing all day and when I got to the park, I had a hard time warming up. Once I got warmed up, I started sweating really bad. It kept getting in my eyes, because I forgot my sweat towel.

Spent like 30 minutes to get 121 catches of 7b clean. Totally worth it.

Ran 5c for 100 catches after a few tries. 5c is definitely easier than 7b.

Finished with 7531 (quintuple, triple, single, flat) with 4 clubs. Hitting this trick about 1 in 5 now. Still super scary.

I felt really good today, more confidant than usual. I just got Youtube Red, so I listened to music on my phone while I trained, which I don't usually do. Uninterrupted music is helpful.

Juggling went well.

7 balls: 130 catches (clean)
5 clubs: 100 catches (clean)
6 clubs: 6 catches (clean - while several people were watching)

I accomplished the above in under an hour. Normally I would have left at this point, but I decided to stay and work on some 4 club stuff and 7351. Lots of people watching.

Props looked really good in the sunlight today.

I have found that a short training session geared toward getting to 100 catches with 7b and then 5c is quite enjoyable. This is the format for my short training session (each bullet is about 5 minutes):

  • 5b cascade
  • Warmup exercise from Doug Sayers Video
  • 5b high throws and chases
  • run 7b to 100+ catches
  • 3c tricks
  • 4c tricks
  • run 5c for 100+ catches

Ran 7535555 - where the '7' throw is a pink ball and the rest are white.

Ran 7b and 5c for 100 catches.

Taught C for the second time; PR at 10 catches.
Passing with 3 balls.
4 toss into 5.
