# 7 balls, #technique, #StagesOfLearning, #improvement, #endupatt, 5 balls, 168 minutes

5b casc varied - ~10 min.
7b casc - ~158 min. ___ 53, 41, 43, 55, 85 (! top three-four-five runs ever, rolled well, feeding the top well, rather untensed, not so very high ), 41, 47, 43, 48, 42, 47, 45, 46, 50, 49, 59, 54 cl, throws' runs longer than 40 th. ___ #technique #SoL #improvement #endupatt - Have lately been getting whole runs throwing slightly towards myself ( from ``second front plane´´ to ``inner front plane´´ in a way ). I reckon, this corresponds to a natural throwing movement with the upper arm slightly going backwards for catching, then going slightly foreward until release for throwing. ___ [ daily7b III: 85 ]

22' + 17' - 5b rev casc - ___ 161 (@ 15'), //15'//, 163,, 128, 121, 135 throws runs longer than 120 throws. ___ [ 5b reverse cascade progress: 163 ] #chartread #SoL #improvement #endupatt - doing notably less practise time on this, with priority now again on outdoor numbers juggling in summer, severely broke in the comparedly constant improvement curve (which is not a surprise). But it's still a good level and feels more like "juggling" than "trying", but for not always finding that enduring mindstate, that sophisticated settling in simply rollin' it ``forever´´. Sometimes I slave to the pattern, sometimes, I have full control, bailing out impossibly rotten patterns back to swiftly stable. And there's still always bad phases or days with fails. ( which is all in all pretty much the same level as when - with 5b normal cascade - I started going for very long runs of 500+ throws )

10' - 5 prop mix, 2b3c - ___ Not being all firm with 4b1c and 3b2c yet, daring this was rather stressing my limits for a try, than seriously ``attacking´´ a next step; but it turned out, my hand-automation with those tinyclubs is good enough for like two rounds ( so no danger of getting stuck here on my way to 5c ). ___ A clean flash. Two times almost two rounds. Seven club throws to collapse.

( uncosy wet-cold at start did with gloves on )
5b casc varied - ~5 min.
7b casc - ~45 min. ___ 47, 55, 57, 41 throws runs longer than 40 th. Feels great, once it rolls in a run - focus on pattern's top aiming into it and on constant height and precise well, truly snapped-in + active, acting, not passive reacting control over it, doing absolutely `right´ throws all the time. The `middle´ balls aren't in a blind attention spot anymore, but it's a whole pattern with each ball at its place moving along that chain of pearls. All I need is to manage to stay there for a longer while, melted to the right beat in an ongoing same ado. ___ [ daily7b II: 57 ]

5' - 5 prop mix, 4b1c - 5 rounds.

105' + 65' - 5b rev casc - 129 (tensed. after as many as 30 minutes - reads: it's still difficult and takes its time to find on level, even on average), 107 (@ 50'), 101, 131 (in a trot, di'n even pay attention, but was listening to soccer talk. also relaxed low pattern, now), 138 cl, 169, 136, 114, 121, 169, //15' break//, 147, 106, 102, lost that automatic feeling, now trying to somehow do mechanically, like a metronome, the right mindstate for enduring is generally surely an issue now, 133, 141 (but both rather too tensed again, partly fought for result), 106, throws runs longer than 100 throws. ( #SoL - ) can't tell what is now distinctly different compared to the beginning of this stint and to yesterday, just overall lower, speedier, better in shape and rhythm; ( #focus - ) I was, though, at start swimming a bit with different focusses on now this then that. ( #endupatt - ) Maybe going for a pattern that is about as high as wide is a clue to getting it good ( instead losing time and effort on high narrow patterns when trying to find into pattern, if that's possible ). .. 111, //20' break//, 101, 100, 101, 103, 131, 96, 99, throws runs longer than 90 throws.

120' + 75' - 5b rev casc - 87 (30'), 91, 105, 104, 82, 114, 101, 97, 112, .. , So, what or which is the "weakest element" of my 5b reverse cascade? - Dunno, ... in good phases with good patterns it seems, the issue in a given moment is simply relaxing and settling in that pattern versus losing the pattern there, maybe a casual slip, ... when i don't get it in bad phases, several issues might be that "weakest, worst element": maybe a slightly too bad height per beat ratio, maybe too little scoop to the outside a bad width, a too narrow pattern, gotta find out if can unless that "weakest element" is maybe dynamic and changes from time to time and pattern to pattern and is difficult to nail. If there is any such weakest elemment in my 5b revs, I'd expect it to be there both, in good and bad phases. Maybe it's simply my weaker hand doing wrong in any case. .. 91, //10' break//, 107, 93, 84, 95, 103, 93, 119, 93, 88 cl, 87 throws runs longer than 80 throws. [ 5b reverse cascade progress: 119 ]
It's going half well, though, - #chartread 5b rev casc - I've increased my average, just haven't gotten the very long runs (~150+ throws) like in spring, nothing way above that daily over 100 throws since over three weeks now.

/* - had not been scooping wide enough (got columns, several collisons), and also didn't focus on pattern's top well - not that I wouldn't have tried all the time .. simply didn't manage, it didn't work. - Guess, I was too much fixed on doing relaxed, gettin' the easiest way, with smaller pattern, thus smaller hand movements, thus smaller scoop, yet doing on good height, so, getting too narrow patterns. - Varying patterns a bit would have found that out earlier!? Also more awarely reflecting what kept me stuck at 73 throws would've. ( but, doing "easiest", which is imo an optimal way to practise, I never got the idea, there might be anything else that could improve my practise ) - More precisely: daring to free and move the arms, the elbows out wider a bit, instead instinctively keeping the pattern near with me (and trying to scoop more, but with arms stuck to the body), is the thing.

193' + 65' - 5b rev casc - 71 (30'), 73, 85 (35'), 83, 91, 75, 77, 79, 103 cl, 75, 111, 94, 75 cl, 95, \20'\, 89, 77, 89, 101, 82, 98, 103 cl, 77 longest runs (throws). Got over a weary tedious first hour by merely drinking (without really being thirsty), i think (will look up "dehydration when doing sports" in that context). Mostly watched, oriented on and focussed pattern's top 1 to 3 balls - felt good, fun to get good swift smooth stable patterns and good and longer runs again after a few overall unfruity days. [typing while practising:] .. Don't want to bother with reducing to one distinct main focus. .. Rather make sure, weakhand does well and is active. .. (57, 65), .. Priority on control, doing right, easy relaxed pattern, avoiding effort. .. (63, 61, 63, 63 cl), .. avoiding columns when under timing-pressure is an issue right now, so trying to make sure ev-ver-ry single throw gets an inward angle, .. 85 cl, (65', 63)., //break, 15'//, .. doing "remote controlled 3b top" now, or at least orienting on pattern's top, that I seem to have neglected lately, .. (63, 63 cl), 84 more fun, now that sth keeps the wole thing together, .. 75, 77, 72, (65), 87, 79, 84 cl, 73. [end typing while practising] [ 5b reverse cascade progress: 87 ]
Reads like "fun" was the clue (lol?) to do better and get somewhat longer runs, but no, the fun came from good focus on pattern's top with nicer juggling, of course.
Another thought I had: Anticipating, knowing shortly in advance, where the last ball up from other hand lands in the top and how and where it will come down (instead of waiting to actually see it up there in or near the apex), is helpful, speedier thinking, gets better timing.
