PracticeLikeAnthony, 60 minutes

Day 9 of trying to practice using the same method Anthony Gatto did. See my forum post for details of what this involves and my rationale for wanting to do it:
Cat and I decided it was a bit cold outside in Leeds today so we opted to book a squash court at the nearby leisure centre. Just as we were about to turn up Lewis Kennedy showed up! He had also booked a squash court for exactly the same time, so we all went onto his court to practice. He seemed interested in my practice structure, and knows tons of tricks. At several points during the session he suggested cool variations I hadn’t thought of and had some useful tips. He has a really knack for making me feel positive about my juggling, and said some very kind things about my technique looking good for 6 and 7 balls.
Warm up: Did all the moving about with a balance stuff, all three balance points. 5 balls with a balance went well, I got roughly 50 catches.
Mills warm up was fine, but then 5 ball mills didn’t go too well, I got around 20 catches. Lewis confirmed it is indeed a tough trick though.
Pirouettes went very well today. 3 ups out of 5 felt good, linked two together, both ways
5 ups feeling very nice. I landed 5 in my allocated time, a new best. I then landed one out of my weaker side, I should work on this more.
5 ball siteswaps:
20 rounds of 744 to pattern.
20 rounds of 645 to pattern
663 felt dodgy, 10 rounds back to pattern
753 got 10 rounds.
94444 felt good, I got 6 rounds back to pattern. Lewis also suggested a cool way to transition back to pattern. Do a few rounds, then on the last round throw 9447700 and 360 to go back into 5.
97531 felt fine. 2 rounds back to pattern, starting out of both hands. Tried for a few longer runs but it wasn’t happening.
When warming up 3 in one hand for 6 balls including high low shower Lewis showed me a cool 2 up out of high low shower. He knows so many tricks, seems like he could basically look at any pattern I was doing and tell me a cool trick or variation.

I got a 126 catch run of 6 balls asyn and two cosequtive 100+ runs
Got 80 ish catches of sync. Landed the transition a few times. Lewis said transitioning helped him with his 6 more than anything.
I kicked up from 5 to 6 a couple of times to a stable pattern.
Got 10 ish rounds of 771 back to pattern in my allocated minute (66 entry 661 exit) Lewis told me you can transition in with 773 which feels cool. It also reminded me about 7733 and 773355 as siteswaps.
5 ball backcrosses felt ok, I think I might get 3 back to pattern soon.
7 balls: felt ok, Lewis was complimentary about my technique. I think I had a run with 40 cathces.
6 ball half shower. I got lots of runs over 80.

Total practice time: 60 minutes
