PracticeLikeAnthony, 60 minutes

Day 5 of trying to practice using the same method Anthony Gatto did. See my forum post for details of what this involves and my rationale for wanting to do it:
What a lovely day! Sunny and mild outside, no wind. Slightly damp on the ground but not a problem. Feeling well rested and looking forward to going along to the Camden juggling club this evening, in a good mood for a juggle!
Warm up: Did all the moving about with a balance stuff, all three balance points. 5 balls with a balance went well today, got around 70 catches, which is my best for a while. Starting to think working on it just a little bit every day is helping
Mills warm up was good, and then 5 ball mills went ok. Maybe got over 20 catches once, reasonable.

Pirouettes went very well today, tried to really focus on technique with the 3 ball stuff. Making sure I finished throwing before spinning and bringing my arms into my body when I span. 3 ups out of 5 felt really good, linked two together a couple of times.
Landed a 5 up on my very first attempt! Ended up with 3 and a half in my allocated time (the half I landed but didn’t get back into a stable cascade, might have got a qualify after but definitely didn’t get back to a stable pattern)

5 ball siteswaps:
10 rounds of 744 back to pattern and then 18sh rounds to drop.
10 rounds of 645 back to pattern
663 felt relatively nice today! 10 rounds back to pattern no problem.
753 got 10 rounds back to pattern.
94444 felt awesome! Got a round straight into a 3 up 360 with both hands. Got 4 rounds back to patter.
97531 also felt awesome! 4 rounds back to pattern, I don’t think I’ve ever done this before.
(8x,4)(4,4) got 8 rounds back to pattern, felt nice. 5 ball siteswaps going very well today.

Got 90+ catches of 6 balls async. Got 50+ catches of sync. Landed the transition a few times. The kick up from 5 to 6 was feeling really nice today, got into a stable pattern a bunch of times.
Got 12 ish rounds of 771 back to pattern in my allocated minute (66 entry 661 exit)
7 balls: Over 30 catches in one run to be sure. It is feeling nicer and nicer, even if I haven’t got a massively long run yet, I’m optimistic it will come soon.
Switched up my practice a bit and spent maybe 4 minutes on 5 ball back crosses, figured it would help warm up for my backcross half shower trick.
5 ball half shower with backcross. Landed it a fair few times. It is coming over my shoulder better today. Got 3 alternating backcross non backcross pairs in a row.
6 ball half shower. Got 100 catches clean! I said I thought I would get it soon yesterday! Woop!

Total practice time: 60 minutes

Location: Amersham
