Field of Dragons is a community-driven, in-person flow arts gathering dedicated to the education, growth, and artistic exploration of contact staff and dragon staff practitioners. Taking place May 1st–3rd, 2026, this immersive event brings together like-minded individuals who are passionate about developing their skills while learning from experienced members of the flow arts community.
The event is designed for students and practitioners seeking to expand their understanding of movement, technique, creativity, and personal expression through guided instruction and shared practice. Twelve instructors from across the region—including Arkansas, Kansas City, Springfield (MO), and Saint Louis—will lead structured classes and workshops, offering diverse teaching styles, perspectives, and approaches to the art.
Field of Dragons is rooted in a mission to uplift, promote, and support the flow arts community from within, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment where knowledge is shared, connections are formed, and artistic growth is encouraged. Through intentional instruction and community engagement, the event aims to strengthen both individual practice and the collective culture of contact staff and dragon staff arts.
