Hi, I'm new. I've been juggling and Poi spinning for a few years, learning from youtube videos. Recently I got up the motivation to look for a juggling group locally because things get stagnant when you're learning alone. I was disappointed to find out Leicester doesn't seem to have an active juggling group... which is why I am seriously considering starting one. However, I'm not a very socially active person, I don't go to festivals and things... I just really effing love to juggle and Poi... so I don't have any connections already, apart from a helpful guy I met on Reddit who pointed me here.
I'm just trying to find out if there are many Leicester based folk on here that can offer me an insight about why there isn't a local club already, maybe because it wasn't popular enough?

Yeah, I saw those ones but the information is pretty out of date so I couldn't get in contact with any of them. There is a club on the edge of Leicestershire in Nuneaton, but its 30min drive out so not really something I could go to regularly :(
I've also contacted the flight school, but they've stopped running their circus skills classes for now.

30 minutes? It takes me 1½ hours to get to my closest juggling club... (All right, it would take about 1 hour if I took my car instead of the bus, but I don't.) I go there twice a week.

Its just the petrol money soon mounts up with me traveling quite far to college everyday as well, but I guess its at least worth me going to check it out :)

Try it. You might even find a regular who lives close to you and will be happy to give you a lift, you never know.
According to the club listings here on the Edge, nothing's active in Leicester. However, the Fever group in Loughborough has been quite active over the last number of years (it meets on Wednesdays and Sundays, so perhaps you could make one)
