I think I've found my next trick

Skip to 1:51 (I'm on a mobile and can't be bothered to work out how to mangle the url to make the link skip straight to the right place)
1:51 is a young lady climbing up a rope onto a trapeze, which I don't think is your thing at all! I'm guessing you mean 3:51 (the tablecloth trick on a small table on the end of a pole balanced on the chin)? Pearse Halpenny did this trick at TWJC once, I was suitably impressed.

I also like the whistling sound when he whips off the sheet. Is there a special whistle for this? It would be even more impressive if you could do the whistle too.
Nice trick (assuming Orin is right about 3:51). Can I put in a vote for you to do with a real table? - ie. one with legs.

How would you keep a real table straight, so that the objects on top don't fall off? Or do you want a real table AND a center pole?

I'd be more interested in having it done without that weird stick.

I think in my head, i would probably use one of those "grabber arms" people pick up litter with.
Mostly because I've always wanted an excuse to buy one
Good point. I was imagining a pedestal table with a narrow leg spread (it doesn't have to be particularly stable on the floor). If that still tilted too much, I'd extend the centre leg to balance on.
Oddly, the stick didn't bother me. If it 'fits' the setting, eg. a walking stick, would it still bother you? It looked like he could have reached the cloth with his hands, but surely a downwards pull would be even more likely to upset the balance?

ah yes, upsetting the balance, I didn't think of that..

That depends on the type of table. I can see that a table with a single leg and fairly small foot (or a removable foot) would be near vertical.
The tray stand they use here is a fairly common restraunt item, so if this was set up as a large tray (the pole being added to it) then that still makes sense in context
