So close yet still no mention of the Ranunculus convention. Is it a game to see who is the last to mention it by name.
Am sitting in the meadow watching the tents go up. The field is golden in the sunlight as the buttercups gently sway in the breeze.Last night the barn owl glided silently past me not 20yds from where I stood.I was woken this morning by the dawn chorus as countless songbirds asserted their territory and readiness to mate as spring arrives like the welcome return of an old friend.
Tomorrow the first of my old friends will begin to arrive and the waiting will be over.
Here's to new tricks learned, much croquet completed, ping pong practice perfected, poker played and port provided, trebuchet trajectories thought through, games gathered and graded, volleyclub victories, passing patterns perused, gourmet grub gobbled, bottled beers brought at the brewery, farming folk, crows cawing, belated banoffee, personalised pizzas, new neighbors and reliable regulars......

My van is one wheel nut away from being Bungay ready (and with new leisure electrics and solar power this year!)
https://www.paulseward.com/blog/20150511/bov-the-saga-continues/ for the sorry saga about the MOT work. The wheelstud was replaced today by a different garage, but I forgot to order a nut to go on the stud! It's on its way to me, hopefully to arrive tomorrow.
Sooooo close to bungay!

Wheelnut has arrived, will be fitted this afternoon after I've dropped the cat off at her holiday home.
I think this is the closest I've ever cut it for BBU
I've managed to find all the parts of the trapeze rig (it had ended up in various places after Camcircus' venue change) and find someone to tow it there; bought a load of LED lights which should reduce our electricity consumption considerably (1/6th the power); put aside some spare seedlings; found all my old trapeze gear and charged lots of batteries.
See you in the field on Friday!
Blimey Monte, that post was magnificent.
Just about packed. See you tomorrow afternevening!

That's it, I'm packed. See you in the morning.
I'll need to borrow a mallet though as I appear to have lost mine.

I'm home, the van is in one piece (spare wheel worries and all)
Had a great time, but for now I have a ludicrous amount of stuff to get from my van into my house
