#HEJC its ok, the BBC has given it's view on juggling..... https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8297764.stm

I was going to ask if the "juggling makes your grain bigger" story was doing the rounds again in the national media (because I'm at #bungay and the national media isn't particularly prominent amongst the buttercups) but that article you posted was from 2009 anyway :)

"Juggling makes your grain bigger"? That'll be one to tell Farmer Paul about!

#HEJC how do you advertise to get people into your club? we're new and exploring the avenues to letting people know we're here rather than hunting our prey.

What works, what doesn't? what are your experiences?

An easy start is to create a Facebook page. Our club seemed to become much more popular when we got one. Also make sure you've added the club to the clubs pages on here and other sites.

Wow, I honestly couldn't believe this! Not only is this in my home town, it's also at my old Primary school! I'll definitely come along next time I'm visiting home!

In answer to your original questions!

Internet; Facebook, Twitter, Website. I'm sure you have them all already, but make sure they're accessible to as many people as possible.

Flyer; You can hand them around various events that happen around Stortford, on the high street, at events. If you look at instant print there are lots of deals for high quality fliers. I got the The London (juggling) Convention printed from there (1000 250gsm double sided colour flyers @ £32).

Local festivals would be a good idea, like Standon Calling or Caz Fest.

Most of this should be tailored to your target demographic. If it's young people or children then advertise with school events. I remember the Summer Fairs at St Michaels didn't used to have jugglers. I've done some juggling for Little Hadham Primary School in the past. The Boys High (TBSHS), once had someone in to do poi.

Anyother would be looking at the local scout and guide groups (I know there's one near St James church). I'll be helping some clubs/scouts get their entertainment badge in Islington in the new year.

Also go speak to Nathan or Mat (or anyone else) in Oddballs in Camden, they might be happy to have your flyers in their shop.

I'll be popping one one weekend soon! Does this include old members from Flingamajig? If your coming to TLC then come find me and have a chat!
