It's 4 balls + 1 club. It's a tiny club .. only as high as a hand is long, a small plastic bottle, .. but it spins and has a nice shape for juggling.

Sergei on 7b_wizard's log 2018-02-19
Sorry, what does it mean 4b 1c ?

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2018-02-18
I'm still miles away from becoming a pro, preferably a teacher in public areas .. want to get really good first.

Sergei on 7b_wizard's log 2018-02-18
you spent lots of time on juggling. are you professional ? doubt jugglers can earn enough money

Guili on Guili's log 2018-02-10
also... you yhink i should get soft 60mm balls for this? I love my "bubbles", the way they fly, the way they look, the multiplexes look so much better than with those soft half-full balls... buuuuut... it's also harder.. right?

Guili on Guili's log 2018-02-10
thanks man! i WILL get it done!

7b_wizard on Guili's log 2018-02-10
yeah, get those precious throws 8, 9, 10, a.s.o.! we all believe in you! :oD .. °oh wow° large hard balls - that's challenging!

Guili on Guili's log 2018-02-10
i think the very first ball has a lot to do... i'm using 70mm hard balls, and it gets uncomfortable to even hold 4 in my hand, let alone throw accurately... so, yeah, if those first 2 or 3 throws aren't good, everything falls apart... gonna keep on trying!

Guili on Guili's log 2018-02-10
will take your advice, though.

Guili on Guili's log 2018-02-10
hah, thanks man! just feeling droopy after a not-so-good session..

7b_wizard on Guili's log 2018-02-10
( jus' 50 cents )

7b_wizard on Guili's log 2018-02-10
Even for only a flash, you can do in different ways just a bit and vary height speed, speediness of throwing movement (dwelltime), wristy versus rowing arms. Thereby already now ``calibrate´´ what will be your viable pattern up. Something will crystalize anyhow.

7b_wizard on Guili's log 2018-02-10
Try to find what's hardest / most difficult / worst. Could be accurate first two throws, first weakhand throw, or the third throw hasted or the fourth throw (2nd weakhd) neglected. Then focus on getting that well. After that, again go for it.

CameronFord on CameronFord's log 2018-01-19
Ah, I'm glad there are more people than I though reading it :)

7b_wizard on CameronFord's log 2018-01-19
Make it three people who read it. I mostly skip over your results, but suck up the "howto"-parts like e.g. your bx over the shoulder problem, or "focus on this or that" stuff, technique and e.g. looking up-down for 663.

CameronFord on CameronFord's log 2018-01-19
Ok, that will now be what I call it :)

Heydar on CameronFord's log 2018-01-19
I would call it a 3 up 2 stage 720...

Stephen Meschke on 7b_wizard's log 2018-01-12
I see. Thanks!

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2018-01-12
For the second " (35) " and " (33) ", .. I just kept these as an impression of what else I got that day with low yield and little to note. It's not always meant to be logically and statistically fully consistent.

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2018-01-12
But, yeah, I could write less cryptic  :o}

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2018-01-12
But in the entry above for example, I also read:   " I had to go over 31, 31, 35, before I got my first run over 41 ", so it took a while of either ``fighting´´ or else quarreling with finding into smooth runs.

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2018-01-12
Inside parentheses then means:   " below threshold, hoping for better runs still to come ".

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2018-01-12
Oh sry, .. no, in the beginning, often the results and-or the juggling are so bad that I can't be sure I'll even get my threshold for noting (currently should be 41 throws for 7b).

Stephen Meschke on 7b_wizard's log 2018-01-12
Why are some of the numbers inside parentheses? Does that mean a run ends in a collect?

Heydar on CameronFord's log 2018-01-08
Don't worry about it- we've all been there ;)

CameronFord on CameronFord's log 2018-01-07
That was my initial plan, although I don't think I had really thought this through. If it's a mild day I can practice outside in the afternoon but if it's raining or cold I can't :(

Maria on CameronFord's log 2018-01-07
Interesting experiment. Are you planning on practising outdoors in any weather? If I was to do a daily practice routine (which I am actually considering now, though probably more like 30 minutes in that case) I'd make one that I can do indoors, in my apartment.

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2017-12-18
.. (for all of the runs - not only 'best three').

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2017-12-18
A program that counts ALL the runs would allow for a chosen amount of best runs (or - why not - all the runs) to be evaluated, documented. And allow to calculate and document an average.

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2017-12-18
So, it will always be notably above average and (in order to) collect the best runs (above that threshold).

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2017-12-18
I choose that in expectation of not getting too many and not too few data. When I've had a few days or a week with too many data, the threshold is too low and I can go higher.

Stephen Meschke on 7b_wizard's log 2017-12-18
Thanks. I like the threshold idea.

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2017-12-18
.. in the datacharts, that is.

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2017-12-18
For the daily longest runs, I fancied logging not only the best one peak runs (sometimes these reflect well, sometimes they're irrational, exeptional), but best three or so, maybe averaged. (but it's okay without that, so far)

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2017-12-18
Write or type them. I choose a threshold ("more than #n throws") for "longest runs".

Stephen Meschke on 7b_wizard's log 2017-12-18
How do you record your training data? I am working on an app to record training data, just looking for ideas.

Maria on Maria's log 2017-11-30
I actually saw the sun for a few minutes yesterday while I was taking a walk, but the days are really short now. Well, at least the juggling is indoors...

7b_wizard on Stephen Meschke's log 2017-12-01
["asleep on treadmill"] °°°good heavens!°°° .. that's tragic but somehow also funny at the same time.

Stephen Meschke on Maria's log 2017-11-30
I haven't seen my shadow for several weeks. It's easy to get cold and tired this time of year. In the summer I can warmup in 5 min, but it took me 20 today.

7b_wizard on Maria's log 2017-11-29
.. walk while passing (4c, one walks backwards), .. double spins, .. do a pirouette, .. siamese.

7b_wizard on Maria's log 2017-11-29
Maybe put one club on the head and balance it a second just long enough to let it fall in the right direction; then learn to catch it; then with two clubs and a "1" before catching.

Maria on Maria's log 2017-11-22
I might be satisfied with catching the last one with both hands once I get a bit more catches. Right now catching each ball in the correct hand is more about feeling that the throws landed were they were supposed to. I doubt I'll ever try 6 balls anyway, more interested in club juggling and passing.

Stephen Meschke on Maria's log 2017-11-22
It's hard to collect three MMX balls in one hand. I injured the webbing between my ring and middle fingers by repeatedly catching three MMX balls in my left hand. Now, I collect four of the balls, and move them all to my right hand/arm and then catch the fifth one, alone, in my left hand.

Maria on Maria's log 2017-10-15
I would probably have counted it as a successful flash if it was my first, but I have done better... Only twice, but still. Actually the first one might not even have been better, except for the last catch.

Stephen Meschke on Maria's log 2017-10-15
If none of the clubs touched the ground it counts as a flash :)

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2017-10-13
Thanks! :o)

James Hennigan on 7b_wizard's log 2017-10-13
Congratulations!

Maria on Maria's log 2017-08-31
Yeah, except in the beginning he kept coming closer to me so every time I had dropped he was suddenly so close that I barely had place for my clubs in front of me. First I just took a step back and continued, but eventually I had to tell him that I couldn't juggle when he was that close.

Stephen Meschke on Maria's log 2017-08-31
With 4 clubs, drunk people are actually less annoying than the wind.
