I was actually considering giving juggling a break, but I continued practicing anyways. My practice the past few days or so (maybe a week actually) hasn't been very...structured. But i'm hoping to get things back on track. I don't have any valid excuses not to practice, and that's the bottom line. xD

# Throwing Technique, 5 balls, 40 minutes

Working on throws that go straight up, and not in towards me. When ever i begin the 5b cascade, the first few throws or so tend to do that. Also working on keeping my shoulders relaxed, and keeping my arms to the side, where there suppose to be, and not moving outwards.

My head hurt and it was late, but i did something. My practice lately hasn't been very...effective. I haven't been taking it very seriously. I hope to change things around the next few weeks. Guess well see what happens.
This was suppose to be for the 27th. I'm getting my logs mixed up.

**Well, it looks like i got some work to do if I want to get 2nd place. GG 7b_wizard...GG.**

# Throwing Technique, 5ballPREP, 5 balls, 4 balls, 56 minutes

Things worth noting:
-If you can simply reach up and grab the next ball, (without reaching out) that means you were throwing correctly.
-When warming up, move on to the next trick when the current trick your doin is beginning to feel comfortable. So you don't have to spend so much time practicing stuff you're already capable of.
-If you're feeling tired, or not so energetic, jog, run, do jumping jacks, anything to help get the blood flowin.
-No more throwing technique stuff. Save it for one session dedicated to that some other time. maybe once a month?
-(5) flash x10, 6 throws x3-5, same with 7,8,9? (i usually skip 9), 10. Then work on short controlled runs. Idk about long runs, i might save it for the end of each week or something. Or just let them happen when I've got the pattern under control. Do this so that you can spend more time on the short controlled runs, and make progress.
-Reaching out is something I struggle with at times when working on 5.
-My lefty feels wierd.
-Focus on where you're actually aiming your throws. I noticed at times that my pattern got a little bit wide, noticably on my leftside, idk if my right side was affected too. I like to aim for narrow throws inside the frame of my body, if that makes sense.

^This is not meant to be advice, these are just things i thought about at the end of my session. I wanted to jot it all down so it wasn't forgotten.

Felt compelled to practice some more, but I ended up spending too much time on the same things. On the bright side, practice started out well, and I did good.

Worth noting:
-noticing how you messed up, or what caused you to stop the pattern is good practice for awareness.
-OBVIOUSLY, if you read this entry, it's not a good idea to practice the same thing for too long. >.>

I finally got it to upload!! I was going to post this msg yesterday, but...yeah! SO anyways!


I edited out the crudey and embarrassing parts, and it's done. Unfortunately for me, I make faces when i do the 5b pattern XD. Fortunately though, my best attempts weren't embarrassing, I barely made any faces at all.

Feedback/comments/constructive criticism is very well appreciated, Thanks! infact, that is the reason why i even bothered uploading a video, now that I think about it. :P

# 5 balls, 4 balls, 35 minutes

Warmed up, practiced the 5ball cascade starting with 5 throws,6,7,8, then into short runs/long runs when it was under control. Then I practiced some 4ball patterns: 552, 534, 53. I recorded myself juggling the 5b cascade and was able to keep it running for 33 seconds, on my first try. I wasn't going for a new record or anything, I was just doing it for the sake of getting it on video haha. Crazy right? But i think i've kept the pattern running for a minute in the past, but that was when i was standing up with the ceiling limiting my throwing height. Now, when ever i practice, I stand on my knees so that i get like 3-4ft more throwing space. My point is that I was juggling it at a low height, and it was probably easier. idk. This was maybe less than a year ago, at that time, i wasn't practicing seriously or regularly like i am now. And i wasn't logging any entries. Sorry, i'm going off on a tangent. I'm just going to end the entry here. Keep up the progress everyone! I know i am..trying to! but i feel like i'm getting somewhere!

I was going to upload it yesterday, it was done and everything! But each time i tried, youtube failed to process my video. It was really annoying! I'll eventually get the video up!

(edit: woops! This entry is actually for yesterday, the 24th. I just didn't get around to posting the entry till now. I usually end up practicing late at night, and recording the entry after work the next day. It's a bad little habit of mine I need to change.)
