# Mostly full session, 45 minutes

Still making progress on the #4bsquare, and #CCC2xIB (Cross-columned, cross-2xed inverted box). Practiced some #C2xIB (cross-2xed inverted box) and it felt better than ever (still not good, but I've only briefly practiced it in the past).

Had some clean #7b.

Great session, enjoyed working on a nice mix of some fundamentals and new and old stuff. Of particular note were my 5b backcrosses, which were outrageously clean for a little while. I certainly got the cleanest flash I ever had.

A bit sore from yesterday. Focused on body throws (which are coming along, most of the old combos I've been struggling with are finally settling [1]) and a bit of #7b. Found out that my ring finger did something slightly different between my left/right hand when starting with a pyramid in that hand, so I've fixed that.

Fast reverse cascade is getting really nice.

The students are coming soon...I won't have access to my beautiful lecture room. Ah well, it was nice while it lasted.

#7b was pretty good, #HLAIB was great: got 16 catches again, and lots of runs of 12. It's coming...

Thought of a new elbow bounce squeeze that I like.

Had another one of those "I don't like juggling" days. Especially when it came to the more physically demanding tricks. #HLAIB ran about averagely today (lots of qualifies, a couple runs of 12 catches) but I still hated doing it. #4bdots also ran well despite the despise. Transitions from sync to async to split sync a few times. Need to make the runs in each section longer, and then it'll be ready to record.

The "break" (I wound up juggling a little bit because a friend wanted to) served its purpose well: I was feeling good today! Everything went well, but nothing particular to report.

I HAVE MY NORMAL SPACE BACK!!! AND IT'S EVEN BETTER! Apparently a recent conference taking place there (probably the genome one) was sufficiently swanky to merit the replacement of all the burnt-out lights. The place is stunning now. Love.

Biggest thing today was hitting 16 catches (one more round than before, which was 12 catches) of #HLAIB. That's huge for me! It's feeling more runable than ever. Wooooooo!

I don't really care about the rest of the pracitse, which was solid. 16 catches! Psyched.

Went between two rooms today, as there was an invasion of children (a science camp) in the first room I was practising in. One of the counselors asked if I'd keep juggling for a few minutes after they'd entered while the leaders set up a movie - sure, why not? The kids (and counselors) seemed to get a kick out of it.

#HLAIB went well. Really, practically everything went slightly above average. Managed to transition through each type of #4bdots without dropping, and did some easier variations that I'll probably include in a video. Sometimes, in my efforts to learn only necessary patterns, I miss some fun, easy, visually appealing ones. The example today was doing dots in one hand while doing a standard two balls in the other. It's pretty easy to get the timing such that the peaks match height and time, and the dotted hand throws at exactly twice the rate as the non-dotted hand.

Looking forward to shooting for the IJA TotM in October, I think I'll have some good stuff for it.

Very good session. #4b levels were popping a bit, #7b was still a bit annoying. Had fun exploring a bit. I remember a squeeze sequence I came up with two days ago, I think it's really nice.

Best part about today was working on #HLAIB, where I made progress for the first time in months. I got 12 catches a couple times, and was VERY close to getting 16 catches. Eeeeeee it's coming! Sacked myself practising it, but it was worth it.

#4bdots were also pretty good. While none of the patterns are solid, I figured I'd try switching between the three to mix things up a bit. Fun and useful.

Pretty average session. #7b has been frustrating since I changed release form, but I'm hoping it'll be back to normal by the end of the week. I'd been using Steven Ragatz's method for the last ~8-9 years for 3b in one hand, and have decided to switch to the more typical method (making the first throw from the middle-finger ball).
