# balancing, head bounce, 3 rings, 4 rings, 5 rings, 6 rings, 7 rings, 8 rings, 120 minutes

Very speedy ring session today. Most things worked, despite having been driving for 4 hours by the time I got to the sports centre. No real standouts, but very close to a 3 up in flats, and 10 catches of flats with 4 rings so I guess they were going well. 8 felt very good too, and I think the launch of 5 from my left hand is improving.

# balancing, head bounce, 3 rings, 4 rings, 5 rings, 6 rings, 7 rings, 8 rings, 120 minutes

Various issues led to being super late to the studio this morning, and felt a bit hungover, so only got through rings. Not much notable. 360s shit again, but 7 rings was good and new pb with 4 in my left hand. Tried the double bounce again throwing straight back and making an effort to bounce in columns.

# balancing, head bounce, 3 rings, 4 rings, 5 rings, 6 rings, 7 rings, 8 rings, 3 clubs, club passing, 90 minutes

Started with a go at a 2 ball head bounce. Properly hard, maybe more than I was expecting. Got 2 bounces a couple of times and almost got 3, but felt randoms.

Rings felt really good. Got the kick with 5 and almost got it twice. 6 rings felt especially nice. Managed async to sync to async again with enough control to end with a pulldown. 24 catches clean of 7, but no flash of 8.

Mucked around with 3 club trick where I thumb spin a club to drop it behind me as a heli then spin and catch it on the bounce.

Club passing with Becky. 7 club popcorn with triples then 10 club 2 count. Must film the latter to work out the timing issue on my side.

# balancing, head bounce, 3 rings, 4 rings, 5 rings, 6 rings, 7 rings, 8 rings, 3 clubs, 4 clubs, 5 clubs, 6 clubs, 170 minutes

Thought I'd log this week's juggling to get an idea of how much I'm practicing. Got to the studio late again due to roadworks even though I set off earlier.

Warmup: improved dropping the head bounce into a stall and almost got a full 360 with a club balance

Spent a bit too long on 3 and 4 rings at the start, almost an hour. Bxx and spins not great today, balance was good though. Got 4r into 3r + balance and 4r + balance into 5r first time. Need to stay isolated with 4r + balance if I'm going to get into it from 5r. Good run of 5r pancakes, ~15 throws, dropped trying to get back to cascade. 6r felt very good- keeping my right elbow in helped with the angle. Good run isolated, async to sync and back, pulloff to clean flash of 6, 4 up 360 to collect. 7 felt good, ended with 22 catches clean. Nothing with 8 really. Launch of 5 from my left far from good enough for 9.

Had ~45min at the end so blasted through club practice. Almost landed a few 720s but moved on. Alberts and treblas shit- no point spending 2 min on each, need at least 5-10 I reckon. Good runs of 3c doubles and flats with balance. Almost got 4 bxx back to pattern again. Nothing exciting with 4c. 5c singles extremely poor, but couple of ok runs of triples (over 30). Bxx looked better again today. Felt better about 6c too, but had to leave before trying 75.

# 3 rings, 4 rings, 5 rings, 6 rings, 7 rings, 8 rings, ball passing, 300 minutes

Full session at Camcircus. Mostly rings, with about an hour of ball passing at the end.

Lots of basics with 3 and 4 rings, then quick 5 and 6 rings and a decent session of 7 and 8.

Highlights: ass catch out of 3 rings with a flat, 3 rings with headbounce improvement, 4 up 720, 4 up 360 into pancakes, several runs of 7 rings around 20 catches, 8 ring flash async.

Also, some work on bxx exercises for 5, but not much improvement there.

Ball passing felt much improved. Fell into high-low patterns with me throwing lower and straight, under incoming throws. Felt poor light was partly to blame for not getting longer runs. We'll see on Wednesday...

# head bounce, 3 rings, 4 rings, 5 rings, 6 rings, 7 rings, 8 rings, 4 balls, 270 minutes

Ring practice at Camcircus. Generally good- got some new things :)

Head bounce ok. Tried some new stuff without the juggle- 3 up 360 and 531 into the bounce. Also, got the ball bouncing from a balance for the first time. Needed to really jump though- not the smoothest start. Plausible attempt at 5 catches of 3 balls, but not super close today.

Warmed up with some filmed 5 rings and 5 up 360 attempts. No successful 360s again, but the general pattern is looking better. Elbows more stationary at least.

Pancakes was good. A couple of qualifying runs and 14 catches clean which is a new pb. I keep wandering forward and left, but I'll put up with that for the moment until I can run the pattern a bit longer.

Tried halfshower with 5 in async. Didn't really get anywhere. Maybe should try in wimpy with 4 to get the hang of the same height throws. Full flatfronts had a couple of decent (qualifying) runs, but nothing spectacular. Should film it.

7 was ok. 3-5 qualifying runs- got 16 catches clean. Throwing forward a lot. Pushed for 10 catches of 8 in sync since my right hand was reasonably undamaged by this point. So close many times. Got the first 4 pairs maybe 3 times. Struggling with the collect still, but the throws were much more even and using smaller motions by the end, which was nice. More work with the right hand needed.

Moved down the numbers and did the 180->360 with 3 and 4 rings in sync. 4 up 360 into sync half pancakes. Tried 2 up in pancakes, need some variation in my 4 pancake work. Also got transition out of (6x,4)* into 3 up 360 maybe 2nd or 3rd attempt, which I have thought about trying for a while now, but haven't got around to.

55550 bxx still a way off- filmed the attempts, but need to watch in slow-mo for a better look at what my left hand is doing wrong. Main problem seems to be panicking and making the throws jerkier and shorter, resulting in throws 3 and 4 going miles wide. Will slow down next time.

6 rings was amazing- several runs over 50 and a new pb with 86. Felt really good- 100 by end of EJC definitely plausible. Must be that work on 3 and 4 in my right hand- should have done this months ago.

Finished with some balls by finally working up to and landing the 1 high 3 low shower 360. Tried to film it from the balcony, but phone ran out of storage :( Just the 1080 left now...

Bit of head bounce. Not terrible.

5 up 360s still terrible. Pancakes good, not sure if I qualified though.

7 rings worked amazingly well. Got 22 catches clean and flashed (8x,6)*, which worked surprisingly well.

4 in left hand pretty good- equalled my pb, right still not great. Hands were getting pretty busted up by 8 though- 1st pair very asymmetrical.

6 rings async not great- didn't break 50 I think. Tried for a couple of 4 ups but way too ambitious today. Sync much better- new pb- maybe I should go for 100 in sync...

Some club passing with Becky to finish. Started to get somewhere with funky bookends, really liked techno but 3 count from hell was horrible- brain said no.

Wanted to try my 14 new rings with some numbers juggling. Haven't been juggling more then 6 rings since in May last year when my 4 of my rings got stolen. Went surprisingly well with 7 and 8 rings. 9 rings still needs a bit of work.

# 6 rings, 7 rings, 8 rings, 60 minutes

Worked on 6 and 7 rings at CUJA, and finally flashed 8 on the 3rd or 4th attempt :) Have to remember it's not a thing until I can do it asynch though- I'll need much better control of 4 in both hands for that.

6 didn't go as well as I might have expected, but I warmed up as I went and got some decent runs at the end. Not too long, but consistent and narrow. Need to focus on keeping the throws in the middle and narrow and work on getting the angle right on my right hand throws. Not ready for tricks quite yet.

7 also very rusty. Got a nice flash then moved on to 8, but it took several attempts since I haven't done 7 at all since May or June. Must get on to 7 on Sunday at Camcircus- should just about have the height and I need to do it every week or I won't get any better.
