# 7 balls, 5 balls, 8 balls, #PR, #StagesOfLearning, #technique, #efficiency, #otu, #conditions, #ballproperties, 160 minutes

3' 5b warmup.
5b 52567 - 12 min.   No great yield (4th and 5th sides), but okay for short stint and it felt okay.
8b wimpy - 20 min.   #SoL, #technique, #otu, #efficiency - remembered I did too narrow last time, so wanted to use width better; on that behalf, other than usual, did the first pair of throws to collect for calibration once or twice to make sure I wouldn't be throwing ``somewhere up somehow´´, which was very helpful!?   10 catches clean, awkard last 2 catches with several contacts tilting them up before catching them arm to body, new #PR, and confirmed soon after. Further 8 c cl twice, 9 gathers, 12 throws.
7b casc - 115 min.   41, 51, 41, 53, 47 throws longest runs.   [ daily7b II: 53 ]   4 gathers on an impulsive 7 up 180° - maybe not impossible.
5b fastest - 10 min.

#conditions - partly in the rain, made balls slip when wet or stick to hands when slightly moist.

Total practice time: 160 minutes

Location: concrete area among fields

# 5 ball tricks, 5prop mix, 5 balls, #efficiency, #technique, 155 minutes

15' - 5b "easiest" \ endure - not over ~200 throws. (wasn't into forcing if a long run would not come in easy mode)

28' - 5 mixed props, 4b1c - Upto 13 rounds (clean, but halve).
          [ n.t.s.: 8 tod, 9 tod½½, 8 tcl, 13 tcl½, 8 tod, 11 tode½, ]

17' - 5 mixed props, 3b2c - A 4 and a 3 rounds clean runs, and another into 4th round run to collapse.
          [ n.t.s.: 3 V, 4 cl, 3 cl, ]

95' - 5b rev casc - 59, 61, 67, 55 cl, 67 cl, 71 throws longest runs.   #technique, #efficiency - Again, also here, getting the feel of the `right´ poised smooth rolling pattern seems most crucial to strive for.

# 7 balls, 9 balls flashing, #efficiency, 5 ball tricks, 3 clubs basics, 3 clubs tricks, 3 heavy balls, 5 heavy balls, 5 balls, 8 balls, 230 minutes

3c basics, tricks - ~5+5 min   266 doubles. 24 cl triples.   34530 single rounds, best back to cascade (without tipcaught).
3b 200gr, freestyle, misc - ~15 min.
5 heavy balls, 200 gr casc - ~5 min.   Upto 9- high.
8b wimpy - ~5 min.   Several times 6 pairs thrown to collapse.   Haven't been aiming at all!? .. just focussing on throwing angles and throwing positions only. Only found out towards end.
9b flashing - ~40 min.   Seven times 7 gathers. One or other 8 g in reach.   Upto 4 (? 5?) rethrows - [ #efficiency : ] one can skip the flash (!?) and go over rethrows unto a qualify .. don't bother catching flashed, but go on throwing right away ..
5b 52567 - ~20 min.   A seventh, a sixth, two fifth sides. And a 20 gathers `clean´.
7b casc - ~130 min.   44, 48, 49, 41 cl, 43, 53, 43, 41 throws runs longer than 40 th.   [ dailyLongestRun7b: 53 ]

# 5 ball tricks, #collateral, #efficiency, 75 minutes

40' - 5b single bx - 4 bx per run to collect but 1 drop. 3/r to clean collect. 6/r (! best ever) to a clean
              collect.
(#collat., #eff.) - It occurred to me, that in contrast to doing consecutive bx-es, I am
by doing single ones also exercising that transition from and to cascade much more in
              compare.
35' - 5b rev casc - Caught clean: twice 15, once, 17, and one peak run 25 (! at last, after several days not
getting a long run). Max thrown to drop(s) was 21.

# 7 balls, 5 ball tricks, #PR, #StagesOfLearning, #efficiency, #season, 9 balls flashing, 5 balls, 7 ball tricks, #structuredPractise, 165 minutes

5b casc varied - ~10 min.   warmup. endured 368 throws. 168 throws wristy 7-high. ~20 throws wristy 9-high, but not so swift, rather tensed with somewhat too much effort.
9b flashing - ~25 min.   Two times 7 gathers; once 8 clearly in reach. Some good patterns in the air.
5b 52567 - ~35 min.   Finally a long run, way above fifth side: new sweet #PR 32 catches clean (8 sides or rounds) from launch to clean collect; went to collect without need in good pattern, in order to secure a clean collect for the very long run.  ( i have no idea, how to rate this as a breakthrough on the pattern, or as just constantly improving on my average, or as just one exeptional irrational (lol) peak run on a good day in a good phase ).  Had shortly before already beaten my old record with a full caught sixth side, 24 c cl and it had felt like "more!".
Furthermore, got: 24 throws 1 drop. Another sixth side thrown to collapse. Six fifth sides thrown to drop(s). Seven times 16 c cl - guess I can start ignoring those latter fourth sides now.
#SoL - The melody, the algorithm, of that siteswap, as I've been thinking as two high over two low throws of ( low--Hm.--low--higher self--high ), I am now actually doing & thinking as ``effort-algorithm´´, as ``guide to the amount of force put into each single digit´´:   no effort low -- Hm. -- no effort low -- power-self -- good thrust 7,   different thrusts in the right rhythm .. of how, what and when the hands and forearms are supposed to feel, so to say.

#efficiency #season - Time to take stock on practise time invested for this: Started April 17, did short stints upto may, 20, only then ~Ø 60 min almost daily, which makes about roughly 105d à 60' = over 100 hours struggling to keep this pattern rolling. Waaaay more than I expected (thought, a few, maybe several weeks, an' it's become months), but it's five balls after all and not at all trivial stuff. Still need to confirm, get it stable, reliable, and endure it some, before I can be too proud of it ..

7b casc - ~75 min.   43, 50, [tricks°], 69, [tricks°], 44, [bx°], -, -, throws runs longer than 40 th.
Did my second ever 7b trivial tricks - 10' short stint in between:   °27[75]°.   single claw.   absurd all up 180°; got them all up and the bodyspin - 4 gathers lol, but those 4 were late throws and landed straight up, so behind me after the spin and I collected them sort of overhead (had to laugh out loud about myself or some juggling demon foolin' me there haha).   bx very very hard, but don't seem impossible.
Expecting any results in such stints doesn't make much sense .. it's mostly blundering and getting one success on like ten fails + picking up drops most the time - "success" meaning any not total collapse, not mere chaos, but like thrown + normal afterthrows or + a rethrow done - best I got was like almost a full collect on a °27[75]° rethrow, and a second matching rev throw for fast-tennis (casc--rev--normal--normal--normal--normal--rev--a.s.o.). But it opens precious new perspectives on the ground pattern when for doing claws, you have to spot a ball to prepare for clawing that one from high and throwing it with a fast handmovement, or else for doing fast-tennis, you have to see the whole pattern to fit the fifth revthrow in well, or else, when doing °27[75]°, it's a question of timing and splitting the duplex vertically well within two dwelltimes (adjusting balls, get thumb in between, get bigger scoop done). So, long stints of this would really mean to challenge your karma, whereas short stints of this, even though mostly ("only", actually) failing, give new insights on, and skills for, your groundstate. (#structuredPractise)

# 7 balls, 9 balls flashing, #efficiency, #StagesOfLearning, 5 ball tricks, 3 heavy balls, 5 heavy balls, 5 balls, 285 minutes

3b 200gr, freestyle, misc - ~20 min.
5 heavy balls, 200 gr casc - ~10 min.   5-, 7-, 9-high.
9b flashing - ~20 + ~50 min.   Took a while 'til I got good first two to four throws with full hands on upto great height (doing higher, than necessary later, makes sure, I got and will again then get these well). #efficiency #SoL - this is not about getting them caught, but about putting them well in the air for five more to follow fired up through the middle. At a point, when first four come well several times, that good start will downright ask for automatically throwing the rest too without delay - like 'ripe' for whole launch, then.   Got four times 7 gathers, seven times 6 g, once 8 g in reach, and a few good, promising patterns put into the air. ( Again: higher is better currently! ((Else I jus' get battered a lot)) )
5b 52567 - ~50 min.   Four fifth sides (~22-24 throws) to drop or collapse. Two times 16 c cl.   Getting nearer and nearer, but short phases only; still feels like slowly improving, maybe a breakthrough ahead.   All (focus, attention, effort, wait on, emphasis, ..) on the weakest throw, the 6-es! #efficiency - These entail the other errors, that don't so much show up when 6-es done well !? ( Always work on weakest, worse throw, when you don't know where to start! )
7b casc - ~130 min.   45 -- 59 (great throwing under last ball + easy + felt very much endurable), 43 cl, 62, 41, [short snack break], ( 5' 5b-"fast" digestion pattern :o) ), 47, 49 cl, 43, 43, 61, 51 throws runs longer than 40 th. [" -- " = consecutive runs]   It feels soo great, when (also a rather low) pattern doesn't feel hasted, but snapped in with time plenty to swiftly control it.   [ dailyLongestRun7b: 62 ]
in between a bit of fast 5b fast - ~5 min.   ~80 throws best run on eye/fronthead-height.

# 7 balls, 5 ball tricks, #StagesOfLearning, 9 balls flashing, #efficiency, 5 balls, 8 balls, 270 minutes

5b endure - ~5 min.   Only 219 throws after a few attemps with even less at a height around what I'm tall.
5b wristy + high - ~5 min.   7-high got 319 throws.   9- to 10x-, maybe b-high, was about firing them up from whole arm + loose wrist, with not the balls going anywhere, but well aimed along incoming ball's trajectory in very slight angle. Got a few good periods that way, (~15 throws?).
5b "fast \ fastest" - ~15 min.   "Fast", nose-eye-height, 131 throws (among longest ever).   "Fastest", chin-high, a few pretty good runs 40 to max ~50 throws.
5b shower - ~5 min.   Two times 8 throws to breakdown (out of reach).
8b wimpy - ~10 min.   Five times 7 catches, most of which 8 in reach, but several slips to drop, or plain drop. Max thrown was 5 pairs (9 gathers, 7 catches), two or three times, i think.
9b flashing - ~20 min.   Best was 7 gathers. Six times 6 gathers. Two times 8 gathers in reach. - A bit better than yesterday. - #efficiency - Did some   [32222][3222][2222]   (330 with all balls in hand), that then higher and higher, in order to get the first two balls better at launch (and avoid fails + picking up drops on them).
5b 52567 - ~65 min.   Max caught clean was 19 c cl. Five times 16 catches clean. Five times full fifth side thrown (20 th). Almost a sixth side (21 throws or so).   #SoL - I have to put some effort into the 67 pair, be it by force or be it by momentum from wrist, get the minimum height for those throws - the pause then also gets longer, downright comfortable.
7b casc - ~140 min.   45, 42, 43, 45, 41, 41, [break], 41 throws runs longer than 40 th.   [ dailyLongestRun7b: 45 ]

# 7 balls, 5 ball tricks, 3 heavy balls, 7 balls splits, 5 ball splits variations, 5 heavy balls, 8 balls triplex, #PR, 5 balls, #efficiency, 285 minutes

3b 200gr, freestyle, misc - ~35 min.
5 heavy balls, 200 gr casc - ~5 min.
5b splits bx - ~15 min.   ~6 x 8 c cl. 3 x 10 c cl. 1 x 14 c cl.
7b splits - ~25 min.   14 c cl -- simply higher! -- three times nine throws to breakdown, but clearly better.
8b [567][22]2 - ~5 min.   18 c cl (#PR) .. also here higher!
#efficiency - I tend to want my patterns low and fast, but I have enough accurracy to do higher for learning yet uncontrolled patterns in general .. so I should be aware of it, and not intuitively avoid any greater spread (that I can control), and-or not do low by custom or - heaven forfend! - by mere laziness. :-o
5b 52567 - ~60 min.   Upto fourth side (not aware of any fifth). One or two runs felt really good, though.
7b casc - ~135 min.   45 (slipcatch), 46 (collision), 47 (general breakdown), 69 (breakdown after last period with effort), [break], [5b re-warmup], 45, 49 -- 45, 51, 41 throws runs longer than 40 th. [" -- " = consecutive runs;]   [ dailyLongestRun7b: 69 ] Partly very cascady scooping under last ball up and doing well wristy from fingerbasket.

5b casc varied - ~10 min.   9-high.   Wristy 7-high.
5b fastest - ~50 min.
5b 56752 - ~110 min.   # efficiency - Had been strictly doing nothing other but the sequence from launch since a while: today did different, ½ the runs from cascade. My thought was to  a) have a running compare for needed heights per beat-speed, and  b) every sequence would be from caught and single balls (not launched with other balls in hands),  c) get back to cascade also (but didn't get that well yet), instead only to fail or collect, and  d) bring some diversity, variety, into these stints (also allowed for diverse multiplex launches, which before I didn't). Managed to look low only few.

# 7 balls, 3 clubs basics, 3 clubs tricks, 3 heavy balls, 5 heavy balls, 5 ball tricks, 5 balls, 9 balls flashing, #technique, #efficiency, 285 minutes

3c basics - ~10 min   353 doubles. 15, 9, 19 triples. 5 quadruples.   High singles .. first just all above head, then doing with stiff wrist throwing from whole arm (learned that here on the Edge, #technique), went better, higher, but queer to stretch out arms into the air with every throw. High doubles, okay, about two club lengths above head (spinning from wrist again).   Very high, uncontrolled (just fast) spin, no matter how many spins.
3c tricks - ~10 min   34530. So-so, did some too narrow into having to stop (no tunnel left for next throw). Almost got one sequence back to cascade (afterthrows were tipcatches to breakdown).   Single throws bxx. (embedded in casc) Dared some with weakhand. Thinking of giving the bx some time by initializing with a double before. Should back to 2c with this.   Attempts on flats and 441 a catastrophe (<1').
3b 200gr, freestyle, misc - ~25 min.   Racketing\slapping; uta (flying under, not throwing under); rev casc; bx; drops; fast stuff (rev--normal--normal).
5 heavy balls, 200 gr casc - ~15 min.   7-, 9-high.   Wristy 5-high.
5b 56752 - ~30 min.   Still a horrible but highly challenging brain twister for me (when I'll be gotten over that, I will be able to do any [in words: "any"] siteswap, 6b-567 will fly to me en passant!! I hope. :o|). Two different 5-es, one after high 7 (emphasizing gives a pause with me), one after hold-pause with same hand threw last. Funky, really.   #efficiency - Best method seems to be, to do fast consecutive attempts without losing connection by picking up drops = to early collect then, until I get more and more throws and sides. But sticking to the right melody is even more crucial and solves all issues as one.   Hoping on my first fourth `side´ with this! (Got some three to collect or alike again).
5b casc varied - ~5 min.   Just a bit "fastest" to later be speedy at 7b.
But first .. 9b flashing - ~40 min. ( .. to make 7b after that seem low and less)   Not over 6 gathers, once 7 g in reach, and only after patzing a while to find into coherent launches, but got one or other well-shaped pattern thrown making it seem doable.
7b casc - ~145 min.   ,,41 ,,47 ,,,45 ,42 ,,[X] ,,41 ,49 ,,,,,, throws runs longer than 40 th. [Commas = timeline; [X] = break]   [ dailyLongestRun7b: 49 ]
in between, warmup after break: 5b casc varied - ~5 min. Some high, and some more "fastest".
